TMU hosts Summer School on "Natural Resources Management and Sustainable Development"


The training course of Summer School on "Natural Resources Management and Sustainable Development" which was attended by students and professors from Iran and the Philipp University of Marburg from Germany and hosted by TMU's Economy Research Center began in 25th of Aug. and is planned to end in 7th of Sept.



According to TMU Public Relations Office, a two-week summer school training course on "Natural Resources Management and Sustainable Development" was held as a joint project by the Philip University of Marburg, TMU, Shaheed Beheshti and Ferdowsi Universities.  



In the opening ceremony of this training course, which was held at the auditorium of Economy Research Center on 25th of Aug. Dr. Sajad Faraji Dizji briefed the audience about the course and said: "30 participants have attended this training course, 15 of them are from Iran and the rest from Germany".  He said that sustainable development is one the main issues discussed in this training course and added: "different approaches including natural resources management in oil domain, income inequality and the impacts of sanctions on development are discussed in this course".



The faculty member of TMU further pointed out that certain workshops are held during the training course in which participants practice the theories by applying relevant software programs.     



The next speaker was Dr. Hussein Mazini, deputy dean for research affairs of the Center, who briefly talked about TMU and its domestic and international significance. The representatives from Tehran, Ferdowsi, Shaheed Beheshti and Marburg universities also talked about their respective universities.



It is to be added that those participants who manage to actively take part in tasks will be awarded a certificate jointly certified by TMU and Marburg authorities. The participants of this training course will also pay a visit to Iran Central bank, Iran Statistics Center, and Environment Protection Organization. The participants bring their course to an end by going to Isfahan and Abyaneh
