    Journal Papersآفاق الحضارة الاسلامية , Volume 24 , Issue 1, 2021 May 1, {Pages }

    Abstract

    Our purpose is a new explanation about "torment" and "punishment" in Surah Al-Baqara, according the Izutsu's "semantic domain" based on determining key words "discourse processes tension relations. Actually semantic domain means a set of semantic relations in the frame and mental structure among concepts. Each language system has its own set of words, each keyword, along with others, forms a complex network of words, which in semantics is called the "semantic domain". In the Qur’an study, each semantic field in concurrent studies consists of a "focal word" and several "keywords" that together with the sub-words form a complex network of words. This network’s words are closely related with focal word. The focal word is a special word tha

    Introducing “Emoling” as the missing link in ethnography of communication: A complement to Hymes’ SPEAKING Model

    Journal PapersLanguage Related Research , Volume 12 , Issue 1, 2021 March 10, {Pages Jan-41 }

    Abstract

    Given the importance of cultural issues in different societies, scholars have introduced the ethnography of communication to examine the differences in light of language and context. Related to this theory is Hymes’ SPEAKING model (1967), in which setting and scene, participants, ends, acts sequence, key, instrumentalities, norms, and genre are taken into account to analyze speech events. Since the words and expressions we use in everyday speech have emotional loads, adding an emotional aspect to this model (E-SPEAKING) seems to provide a more comprehensive picture regarding cultural and linguistic interpretations. The present study; therefore, first, introduces the concept of emoling by analyzing [Nāz Kardan]-related vocabularies, and t

    Journal PapersLanguage and Translation Studies (JLTS) , 2021 January 26, {Pages }

    Abstract

    The relationship between teaching/learning procedure and culture has attracted the attention of teaching experts during the last few decades; according to these researchers, teaching/learning procedure is a phenomenon which is formed in the context of society and is controlled by cultural factors and variables: this is why the effects of cultural variables on teaching/learning procedure cannot be overlooked. Thus, the current research aims to study the cultural characteristics of Iranian language learners on the one hand, and explore the possibility of changing these cultural characteristics on the other hand. In order to achieve the research goals and finding an efficient, practical pattern in French language teaching/learning procedure, t

    La pr?figuration en tant que source de la manipulation: Sp?culations mon?taires dans la soci?t? iranienne

    Hamidreza SHAIRI
    Journal PapersActes S?miotiques , Volume 124 , 2021 January , {Pages }

    Abstract

    La reconnaissance historique constitue un point de r?f?rence tr?s appropri? qui assure la d?cision pour tout acte narratif et pragmatique. Une telle reconnaissance prendra le nom de ?pr?figuration? tout au long de cet article. En effet, agir au nom d’une r?f?rence historique, c’est se laisser manipuler par ce qui a ?t? d?j? exp?riment? par d’autres actants dans d’autres situations. Ceci signifie que trois ?l?ments seront en jeu dans la pr?figuration comme source de la manipulation: un point de r?f?rence dans l’histoire d’un fait; l’autre comme un mod?le de l’exp?rience auquel on peut faire confiance; et enfin un croire qui serait un bon soutien pour la d?cision ? prendre. Donc, la manipulation repose ici pour nous sur une pr

    The Criticism of “The Routledge Companion to Semiotics” Translation: From Hard Semiotics to Anthroposemiotics

    Hamidreza Shairi, Fatemeh Seyedebrahimi
    Journal PapersCritical Studies in Texts & Programs of Human Sciences , Volume 21 , Issue 1, 2021 March 21, {Pages 177-199 }

    Abstract

    The book The Routledge Companion to Semiotics is a collection of articles published under the supervision of Paul Cobley. Raheleh Ghasemi and Siyahrood publication have translated and published it alternatively. This book contains ten chapters, and the main issue of the chapters is the interaction of semiotics with the environmental world and the experience of presence. The authors of this book share one point: immanent structures cannot meet the needs of the domain of semiotics studies, and it is necessary that the world’s practical realities be translated or transmitted to the sign system. For this reason, the cultural, social, biological and ethical elements have been introduced in interaction with the world of signs in this book. Alth

    Abstract

    Nowadays, pictures and writing in English books are used in order to transfer educational concepts. As it is claimed that the pictures not only help the students learning but also they increase the interactional relationship between them and their around society (Kress and Van Leeuwen, 2006). There is always one problem that an argument on how we can use multimodal-texts in school books especially English books to facilitate transfer concepts and also trigger motivation in educational processes so that English learning and training procedures will be improved. According to Sojoudi (2003), semiotic perspective rooted in the works of Saussure and Pierce, shows two points of view but with special and similar philosophical implications. Saussur

    Fatemeh Dadbood, Hasan Bashirnezhad, Hamid Reza Shairi
    Journal PapersJournal of Critical Reviews , Volume 7 , Issue 2, 2020 January , {Pages 418-426 }

    Abstract

    In narratology domain, semio-semantic approach tries segmenting and analyzing narration thereby to investigate the conditions of semantic production in the discourse and showcase the processes of the semantic generation by considering the discourse mechanisms involved in the creation of discourse and analyze the change from a predicted status to an unpredictable status as well as the result thereof. The present study dealt with the narration process of the story “One Thousand and One Nights” and sought demonstrating the movement trends of the narrator’s narration-processing for postponing and delaying a morbid action and achievement of the ultimate goal, ie complete cessation of that action and reaching the discourse’s teleology bas

    The Analysis of the Semiotic Interaction between Speech and Cartoons: The Conceptual Development and Creative Usage of Linguistic Idioms.

    Hedieh Haghighi, Hamidreza Shairi
    Journal PapersLanguage Related Research , Volume 11 , Issue 1, 2020 March 10, {Pages 29-Jan }

    Abstract

    Language learning is not just the learning of vocabulary and grammar. Idioms are the useful structures between language speakers, especially in spoken language. Maybe the mysterious nature of these structures makes the speakers to be interested in using them. It was said mysterious because they do not have combinational meaning. Idioms have their own context of use and it motivates speakers to use them because the proper use of idioms shows the high level of communication skill of a foreign language learner. But due to the special structure of idioms, it is so hard to learn them.
